Newcastle United have announced that Jamie Miley and Max Thompson have left the club on loan – but it looks like Miguel Almiron will NOT be joining Fulham.
Newport County have completed the signing of Miley, subject to EFL approval, with the 20-year-old talent set to spend the remainder of the 2024/25 season with the League Two side after an impressive pre-season.
As for Thompson, the former England U18 international will spend the campaign at fellow League Two side Chesterfield FC. The 20-year-old spent the first half of last season in League One with Northampton.
Then to Almiron, The Mail’s Craig Hope has today played down our hopes of selling the Paraguayan to Fulham, with this coming after his proposed move to MLS side Charlotte FC broke down earlier this month.
The Cottagers were linked with a late move last night, but the north east reporter insists he ‘will not be signing’ for the London club before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline, leaving Newcastle’s hopes of landing another right-winger slim at best, as things stand.
Vamos Miggy!!

It is time to put thr transfer of Marc Guehi to rest. We have wasted time and energy.
Howe needs to concentrate his energies on ensuring that our present lads blend together as a team. Our first two games demonstrate our lack of cohesion as a team.
