The team sheets are in at St James’ Park, where Newcastle United take on Tottenham in the 1.30pm kick-off live on Sky Sports. Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with:
NUFC XI: Pope – Livramento, Krafth, Burn, Kelly – Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton – Gordon, Isak, Barnes.
SUBS: Dubravka, Trippier, Tonali, Targett, Osula, Hall, J.Murphy, Almiron, A.Murphy.
Sandro Tonali is back from a ban but on the bench, meaning Sean Longstaff keeps his place. However, there is a change from our 1-1 draw at Bournemouth as Harvey Barnes comes into the side.
Joe Willock’s thigh injury is not thought to be serious based on initial scans, but he misses this one along with Fabian Schar – who sits out again as he completes his three-match ban – Callum Wilson (back), Lewis Miley (foot), Sven Botman (ACL) and Jamaal Lascelles (ACL).
For Spurs, £65m striker Dominic Solanke is absent again and Micky van de Ven misses out, but Destiny Udogie is fit to start alongside the likes of Pedro Porro, James Maddison and Son Heung-Min.
We need some answers from Eales and Mitchelseems to me their egos got in the way of the team and the running of our club.
