According to Keith Downie at Sky Sports, Yasir Al-Rymayyan will be at St James’ Park today alongside two other members of the Saudi Public Investment Fund; the 85% owners of Newcastle United.
He reveals that Al-Rumayyan will be joined by Asma Rezeeq and Jacobo Solis ahead of the 1.30pm kick-off against Tottenham, where Eddi Howe’s Mags will be looking to put transfer frustrations behind them in a battle of two unbeaten sides.
Downie reports that our Chairman has been ‘keen to express his support to everyone at the club in person’ and will be in the stands, with this following a tough few months for the club that has featured PSR chaos in June, Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s departure and no signings that immediately improve the first team after we failed to sign a centre-back or right-winger.
Perhaps it is a show of support, but also a chance to find out exactly what went on – and what went wrong. Hopefully positive meetings can take place and, most importantly, they witness a win that would help settle a slightly disgruntled fanbase.

The only thing that went wrong was trying to buy an average centre back from a club who did not want to sell unless we gave them £70 million plus ..the result was a good thing ..selling players was a necessity under the rules and minteh was good profit and Andersen was not first choice .. it’s how it was all managed was the chaos that Olly refers to and Pif need a word

I hope some searching questions are asked by the top hierarchy of Mitchell, and Eales in particular.
An investigation into the unnecessary removal of Amanda and Mehrdad is also required and talks with players and the Ladies Team should be instigated as to gauge their feelings and opinions.
This project should not be soured by the unsettling actions of any individuals and a subsequent calming and explanatory statement to the fans should be issued before the whole atmosphere becomes suspicious and tainted.
We know by the past that once that happens it is difficult to retrieve.

I actually heard on good authority from a couple of sources within the club that Amanda wanted Paolo Maldini as DoF which would have been amazing! However Darren Eales had different ideas and agenda and is rumoured to have been instrumental in Amanda and Merhdad leaving. Personally where would the club be if it wasnt for Amanda and Eales comes along and dancing on the stack stage and didnt he not unsettle Anthony Gordon by approaching liVARpool? I think if any changes are to be made I think that they should firmly stop at Darren Eales/Paul Mitchell doors and ideally I would like to see Amanda back at the club in some sort of honary role and the womens team which she is passionate about. Darren Eales = Court Jester!!!

Can someone please tell me the result of this match? My place at the top of the tipping competition may depend on it. It’s heart vs head at the moment.
Howay the lads.

People forget that Amanda and Merhdad were very small shareholders who were given that opportunity for brokering the deal.
She wanted to run the club, but wanted a CEO – you can’t have both, otherwise what is the point of hiring a CEO?
The best thing was them going and hopefully Eddie will be off to the England job soon. Then the **** he won’t part with will be phased out!

I tipped a Newcastle win. For those playing at home.

We won 2-1 and scored all 3 goals. Dan Burn with a beauty into the roof of his own net. We’re riding our luck so far, because we were pummelled.
