Sky Sports: Newcastle approached by THREE clubs over Kieran Trippier deal

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United have been contacted by THREE Turkish clubs over a loan deal for Kieran Trippier.

They report that Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupsor have all been in touch with Newcastle about taking Trippier on loan with option to buy deal.

It’s been reported that the 33-year-old was keen to find a new challenge after losing his pace in our starting 11 to Tino Livramento, but Sky Sports insist that he won’t push to leave and still enjoys a great relationship with Eddie Howe.

With that in mind, I’d be shocked if Newcastle sanctioned a loan deal, especially when his leadership remains valuable and we lack depth in his position with no ability to sign a replacement now the Premier League window is shut.

Trippier was an unused substitute in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Spurs and has only appeared once in the league this season, coming off the bench in our 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
