It looks like Kieran Trippier won’t be allowed to leave Newcastle anytime soon, with January likely to be his earliest opportunity to find a new challenge.
In his latest piece for The Mail, Craig Hope reports that Trippier will not be going to Turkey this month despite serious interest from a host of Super Lig clubs.
On Monday, Sky Sports revealed that Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupsor had all been in touch with Newcastle about a loan-to-buy deal ahead of their transfer deadline of 13th September.
There had also been suggestions that Eyupspor had agreed a deal, but these have been denied by Hope, who insists that Eddie Howe will not sanction any outgoings now we’re no longer in a position to replace such a key member of the squad.
So, it seems Trippier will have to stay on Tyneside until January and fight for his place in the side after losing his right-back spot to Tino Livramnto.
It’s a tough one to take if he genuinely wants out, but you can see why now feels too late to lose a senior player of his importance, especially with a lack of depth at the back.
**** right too. Why the hell would we sanction any type of departure with no chance of replacement. Mitchell is a ******* idiot.

Don’t think this has anything to do with Mitchell, we were not looking to recruit right back.
Trippier wants away now because at the stage of his career he feels he needs to be playing, especially having given up his International duties.
The decision regarding his captaincy and lack of game time will be the main factors.

Tripper has never said he wants away Howe has insisted he is crucial to the group .. the only people are hacks like Craig dope who write “stories” who others repeat ..to get gullible people all riled up..

Trips’ time to leave was January/Bayern. Failing that, before June. With last year in mind, Eddie would be mad to weaken our defensive squad just now, and he has enough sense to know that full well. Whatever happened to Trips last Nov/Dec, he seems to have recovered his poise and it’s so right that he stays for the time being.
