According to talkSPORT, Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on highly-rated Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.
The 18-year-old has impressed in some early-season cameos for Southampton – he came on in their 1-0 defeat at St James’ Park last month – and earned his first Premier League start in their meeting with Man Utd on Saturday.
He gave Diogo Dalot a tough time and won a penalty that Cameron Archer failed to convert before Man Utd ran out 3-0 winners, and it’s believed the Saints are braced for bids following his recent breakthrough.
TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reports that he’s been on Newcastle’s radar before his rise to Southampton’s first-team, so there’s every chance our interest could intensify now the teenager has impressed in his first few outings in the top flight.
Dibling is under contract at St Mary’s until 2026 and recently returned to the South Coast after a brief switch to Chelsea in 2022, where he failed to settle before securing a move back to Southampton.
Previously dubbed the ‘new Jack Grealish’, Dibling scored a first-half hat-trick at St James’ Park just two years ago as Southampton’s young guns battered our U23s back in 2022.
Whether he’s being looked at as another ‘project player’ – much like Danish talent Will Osula – or a potential solution to our right-wing woes, he could be one to watch if Newcastle up their interest in the exciting youngster.
I watched him at the weekend. Not saying he’s ready yet off the back of 1 game but he looked decent & full of confidence

No chance, he will end up at a big club.
