We review what was a worrying display at Craven Cottage on Saturday, where we put in our worst performance of the season just as we were hoping to see things click.
After discussing the defensive errors, I run through some of the main takeaways from the game, covering our loss of identity, total lack of balance in midfield, lack of service to Isak, Gordon’s body language and Eddie Howe’s selection problems as the boss appeared to get his starting 11 wrong for the second week running.
In our ‘what you might’ve missed’ section we cover Gordon’s position switch in the second half, the potential for a formation change and the only Newcastle side to win this weekend as Wor Lasses did us proud at Kingston Park.
After that we look at results elsewhere over the Premier League weekend and our postponed Carabao Cup trip to Wimbledon (we recorded this episode before it was rescheduled for October 1st at St James’ Park!)
