Newcastle eyeing Chelsea and Southampton duo as Toon target two future stars – Report

According to Mark Douglas at the i, Newcastle United are ‘ready to pounce’ on more Premier League talent with Southampton star Tyler Dibling and Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong both of interest.

After two windows of disappointment in terms of incomings, we find ourselves finally in a position of strength having sorted out the PSR issues that restricted us so heavily in the last 12 months.

Alongside ready-made stars able to take our starting 11 to the next level, it’s believed Newcastle are also keen to buy young English talent before they make it big, with both Dibling and Acheampong on our radar.

Dibling, at just 18-years-old, has already played in five of Southampton’s six Premier League games, causing havoc against Man Utd, scoring in their 1-1 draw against Ipswich last week and proving to be a key player in the Saints’ front line.

Acheampong on the other hand isn’t getting as much first-team football, but the defender made his Premier League debut last term and has impressed at youth level, seeing him gain interest from a number of top European clubs.

Newcastle previously secured Lewis Hall from the Blues, so it’ll be interesting to see if we pursue another of their teenage talents.
