New photos leaked: A major hint at Newcastle’s three Adidas kits for 2025/26?

Last week, a video circulated within Newcastle circles on social media which seemed to show what looked like our home shirt for next season.

However, fresh leaks and insights from the usually reliable FootyHeadlines may have given us a closer look at what three kits we’ll see on the pitch next season.

From keeping it simple to new takes on popular and controversial kits from the past, here’s what we know so far.

The REAL home kit revealed?

After last week’s supposed ‘leak’ was likened too much to teams like Juventus and lambasted by many fans online, we may all soon be pleasantly surprised at how Adidas have stuck to the traditional black and white stripes, but with a slight twist.

Decorated with a light blue trim, the minimalistic approach is a homage to past home kits from the previous Adidas and Puma eras.

This news comes after members of the press were invited to a private viewing of the new kits, so this looks to be far more credible than the leaked video doing the rounds online earlier in the week.

A return to a classic

It’s a poorly kept secret at this point, but Adidas may have hit it out of the park once again with another retro-inspired kit next season.

Following the huge success of this season’s away kit, which was heavily inspired by the burgundy and navy stripes of the iconic 1995/96 away kit, it’s looking like we’re moving forward into the future to bring another classic into the modern day.

Next season’s third kit is heavily rumoured to be a remake of the 1997-98 third shirt, featuring a deep blue base with orange and dark green stripes. It had originally been tipped that this was the away kit, but is now understood to be the third kit instead.

Saudi trend to continue?

Some of our recent away and third kits, considering our ownership and links to both the PIF and KSA, have become highly scrutinised within the mainstream media and from rival fans alike.

And it’s looking like next season’s away kit will be no exception, with FootyHeadlines revealing this design:

Similar to our 2023/24 away kit, this apparel will boast a luscious green colour not too dissimilar to that of the home strip of the Saudi Arabian National Team, alternating between lighter and darker green stripes.

Many fans will have hoped the club and Adidas will have continued with the retro trend adopted this season and made both the away and third kits inspired by the 1980s and 1990s with their colours and even the badges used, but this can give us some optimism that the 2026/27 designs return to this style once again.

  1. I’m obviously old fashioned but I cannot support the current trend of faffing about with club strips by designers. Take the ludicrous vertical seam on England’s shirts as a typical and massively unwelcome example.
I like my team to wear straight black and white stripes and I do not appreciate the unnecessary faff at the border of the stripes in this illustration, entirely unwelcome and unwanted.
But, as I say, I am old fashioned. I do recognise the commercial imperative behind paying some fancy designer to come up with something to make gullible fans shell out yet more money, but I deplore it.
    Harrumph!
