How Newcastle players have reacted to Alexander Isak news - Insider report
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United possesses probably the strongest sense of camaraderie annd squad harmony out of every team in the Premier League.
With passionate individuals and positive changing room influences everywhere you look, it’s been an immense factor in our recent success.
But could Alexander Isak’s looming departure potentially disrupt that harmony and cause turmoil for the Toon in more ways than one?
One report seems to indicate that Isak’s recent communications about his plans to leave the club have divided the team, and many feel that him leaving is looking more and more inevitable…
Newcastle stars break silence on Isak departure
According to The Mail’s Craig Hope, many Newcastle players believe that Alexander Isak is bound to leave the club this summer.
The striker’s absence from the ongoing tour of Asia, followed by the subsequent news breaking concerning his desire to ‘explore his options’, seems to have cast a dark shadow on the squad.
“There is an acceptance among many inside the club that a complex and difficult situation has developed,” Hope reports.
Despite the club’s repeated insistence that the Swede is not for sale, and with even club chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan looking to intervene, things might not be so clear.
Hope states that in the eyes of his Newcastle teammates, Isak will be Liverpool-bound if the Reds cough up the British record fee it would take to sign Isak this summer.

Sell Isak now, spend and save squad morale?
Potentially being without their star striker looks to have had an understandably negative impact on travelling squad in Asia.
So it leaves Eddie Howe and the recruitment team in a difficult situation: should they push to sell Isak this summer for the sake of squad harmony and a truly united team?
As imperative as Isak has been to our success, you could argue that the sooner we can integrate a new striker into plans, like Benjamin Sesko, Yoane Wissa, or another big name, the better.
