Jamie O'Hara exposed as Isak and Wissa claims quickly backfire - Hypocrisy at its finest!
You have to hand it to Sky Sports. Not content with basically being LFCTV in disguise, they continue their plummet from respected sports broadcaster and are well on the way down to becoming just another ‘shock-jock’ station.
Jamie O’Hara is, of course, no stranger to this type of content being employed by both Sky and TalkSport, and he has again provided Newcastle (and Brentford) fans with a fascinating insight into how both clubs should deal with their petulant wantaway strikers.
Speaking on Sky Sports News’ ‘Fan Club’ programme, O’Hara said:
“When a club is holding you [Isak & Wissa] to ransom and saying they want £150m [for Isak] or £60m for Wissa, come on guys, let’s be realistic […] I just think it’s out of order…”
"The clubs are holding them to ransom, it's out of order" 🤔
Jamie O'Hara defends Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa by saying there have been broken promises by their clubs and players want to get the most out of their careers. pic.twitter.com/tNIJn3L8dS

I’m sorry Jamie, but that’s not how it works. Why should either club suffer just because the players don’t fancy it anymore? And how exactly is Isak being held to ransom on £150,000 a week? I might pop along and tell my bank to stop holding me to ransom because I don't like my mortgage anymore…
The clubs set player values based on their worth to the club, but Jamie's argument becomes all the more absurd when you consider what he was saying about Harry Kane when the former Spurs striker was looking to leave North London a few windows ago...

Which one is it, Jamie? One rule for Kan and Spurs, another for Isak and Newcastle?
Back to Isak and Wissa, both players (which, to be fair, O’Hara acknowledged) are acting like giant man babies, and their behaviour and attitudes should seriously call into question anyone’s desire to have them in and around their squads except for their current clubs as they’re stuck with them.
Isak and Wissa’s agents should’ve had more foresight like Erling Haaland’s did and structured their deals in such a way that there were clear pathways for the player to progress. The situation each player finds themselves in are not on the clubs, as the contracts were signed in good faith.
I’m sure as O’Hara mentions in the clip that it’s very hard for a player when the situation is reversed and you are told you’re not wanted but you still have three years left to run on your contract — like Hjolund has at Man Utd. But you know what the player can do? Sit out his contract because it’s legally binding, same as the clubs can say to Isak and Wissa, you’re going nowhere.
Ultimately, it’s not the worst take (it’s still drivel, mind) but it’s just so clichéd and has been played out to death this summer from different talking heads in the media that it’s basically meaningless.
