Newcastle sanction three late moves - Surprise exit, Stoke interest & loans lined up
Newcastle United have secured £130m for Alexander Isak and have agreed to spend upwards of £50m of that on Yoane Wissa.
Will Osula could also be set for a shock permanent exit, with Sky Sports revealing a £28.5m bid from Frankfurt, while The Mail's Craig Hope claims a £30m switch to the Bundesliga club is close to completion.
However, two more exits could also be announced ahead of tonight's 7pm deadline, with under-21 star Trevan Sanusi and forgotten man Harrison Ashby in line to depart on loan.
Starting with Ashby, it's our understanding that the 23-year-old full-back is set to leave the club on another loan deal before tonight's 7pm deadline.
Stoke City are showing interest in the right-back, who featured regularly over pre-season, and could offer the former West Ham talent his third loan spell in the second tier in three years after stints at QPR (2024/25) and Swansea (2023/24).
As for Sanusi, the 18-year-old winger has shone in the Premier League 2 and will be allowed to leave on loan today if the right offer arrives to help him take that first major step into senior football.
Last week, Ligue 1 sides Le Havre and Auxerre were both linked with loan moves for the England youth international, but we can reveal that French side Lorient are also showing interest alongside a number of EFL clubs.
