Sky Germany claim Anthony Gordon could leave for €60-70m - Good luck, Bayern!
Sky Sports Germany is doubling down on their Anthony Gordon to Bayern Munich story.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg had reported via X that Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon was wanted by Bayern Munich this summer.
This came off the back of a report from German outlet Bild over the weekend saying the same, with both outlets claiming that Bayern had opened talks with Gordon's people.
Bayern haven't yet reached out to Newcastle (again, surely this is tapping up and isn't allowed), but 'concrete talks' have apparently begun.
Plettenberg: Bayern to pay up to €70 million
Florian Plettenberg has provided another update via X on Tuesday afternoon, claiming that Gordon is Bayern's top target this summer and are willing to spend €60million - €70 million (£52m-£61m) to bring him to Germany.
🚨🔴 Anthony #Gordon is currently FC Bayern’s top target for the left wing as reported last night. The current estimated transfer fee for a summer move is €60-70 million. Bayern are ready to invest that amount if Gordon agrees.

The story doesn't appear to be going away, and now Plettenberg is sounding more and more confident that there's truth behind what he's reporting now that he's even gone as far as to quote figures.
It's worth remembering, however, that in his previous post, he did say that Newcastle don't want to sell, and also mentioned that Gordon would be brought in as backup for Luis Diaz.
Newcastle would want way more than £61 million
For us, if anything, this update further cements our belief that Gordon will not be going to Germany. The figures quoted don't make sense at all.
Anthony Gordon joined Newcastle for £45 million and has gone on to become an England regular, and even this season was pushing Kylian Mbappe for the Golden Boot in the Champions League. We should be expecting to double our money if we're going to sell at this stage.
What this could do, however, is turn Gordon's head somewhat. If Bayern show this much intent, he'll be wondering who else is so desperate to take him and whether they would be willing to pay Newcastle's asking price. So could this be the beginning of the end for Gordon at Newcastle?
Rumour Rating: 3/10 - Purely from the perspective of Gordon going to Bayern Munich. It's way higher if we're talking about a general likelihood that he leaves Newcastle.
