Following Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Everton, Newcastle fans have called for Karl Darlow, Javier Manquillo, Mo Diame and Florian Lejeune – with the latter two being slated on social media after their dismal displays against the Toffees.
After two defeats in a week at St James’ Park, it may be a good thing that we’re playing away from home in our next two, however it doesn’t look like getting any easier with Arsenal away to come tomorrow.
With this in mind, changes need to be made and several NUFC fans appear adamant that the following four players should be axed for our tough trop to Arsenal:
Florian Lejeune
He was far from convincing once again on Wednesday despite Lascelles’ return. I think he’ll come good, but might Clark to get the nod tomorrow?
Lejeune over Clark?! Lejeune has been awful #nufc

Cannot understand why Clark has been dropped in favour of Lejeune????

Dodgy at the back. Not sold on lejeune #nufc

Karl Darlow
He’s looked so unconvincing, making two costly errors in defeats to Leicester and Everton. Elliot to come back in?
Mo Diame
He really did have a shocker and fans (to my dislike) let him know when he was subbed off. Perez to return in the 10 role on Saturday?
If you select Mohammed Diame to support your lone striker you can't expect to win the match. Another one I'd happily never see play for us again #NUFC

OptaBano: 0 – Mo Diame has started 4 games this season.
0 points won.
1 goal scored.
8 goals conceded.
4 terrible, useless, waste of space performances.? #nufc

Javier Manquillo
He’s had the odd foray forward but he’s rarely looked comfortable at left-back. Paul Dummett’s return can’t come quick enough it seems – might we see him tomorrow, or could Mbemba even come back in?
Paul dummett wants to hurry up get back in the team… this manquillo is something else like ???
