According to the Chronicle, Crystal Palace have now registered and interest in signing Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.
The story claims Roy Hodgson has now been “asked to be kept in the loop” about the Serbian’s availability this summer, with Fulham also pushing to sign him permanently following his impressive loan spell since January.
Interestingly, Hodgson recently praised the striker following his performance in Fulham’s play-off semi final against Derby a few weeks ago, stating it was one of the best target man performances he’d seen.
The Chronicle claim that Newcastle will demand “at least £15 million” for the striker, and are hopeful that the presence of Palace (amongst others) could spark a bidding war.
Let’s hope so. He looks almost certain to leave, so receiving as much money for him as possible could be key – especially when that cash could be what Rafa is handed to sign a new striker of his own choice this summer.
