Some breaking news from Sky Sports in the last few moments, who confirm that Newcastle United have rejected an ‘out of hand’ bid from West Ham for Jamaal Lascelles – with the Hammers offering just £20m rising to £25m.
The skipper has been instrumental to everything that’s been good about NUFC over the past two years and Sky claim that Lascelles is ‘not for sale’ as far as Newcastle are concerned.
Here’s a snippet from their latest update on Sky’s live transfer centre today:
Newcastle United have rejected a bid of £20m, rising to £25m, from West Ham for their captain and centre back Jamaal Lascelles.
One source at St James’ Park has told SSN this morning that the player is not for sale.
The 24-year old reported back for pre-season training at Newcastle on Friday, with Everton also understood to be interested.

A pathetic offer from West Ham and one that will be nowhere near enough to tempt even the likes of Mike Ashley to sell.
Let’s hope we continue to knock back offers – at any price – and instead focus on bringing in new additions.
Lascelles feels irreplaceable at the moment and selling him would be a huge mistake.
