With Kenedy now signed, a goalscorer is very much on the agenda for Rafa Benitez – and we’ve asked fans to tell us which ‘REALISTIC’ striker signing they’d like to see us pull off between now and the end of the transfer window.
With the season set to get underway in under a month and this summer’s deadline falling much earlier this year (August 9th), there isn’t actually a whole load of time left – meaning the pressure on us to sign a new striker will soon intensify if we don’t pull our socks up.
With this in mind, we asked fans on Twitter which attainable striker they’d like to see Benitez go for following the signing of Kenedy.
Expect #NUFC to now push for a striker (or two) after Kenedy..
Give us the names of a few realistic options you'd like to see us pursue??

Here’s the responses we got:
“Realistically Batshuayi, Dembele (Celtic) should be the type of striker we should be looking at.”
“Vincent Aboubakar”
“We should go for Origi I think few good options out there though – Moussa Dembele & Willian Jose as well”
“Andy Carroll”
“Musa (Leicester)”
“Gabbiadini? Looked class initially at Southampton and was good under Rafa at Napoli.”
“Giroud can give us a couple of good seasons”
“Danny Ings and Josh King”
“I’d like to see Rondon (slightly out of by the price) and maybe Ings or Tammy Abraham on loan”
“Ings… Abraham…. Calvert lewin….”
“Cheeky bid for Rashford. Not getting played at Utd and deserves proper game time in the Premier League>”
“Vietto or King for me.”
“Would like to see us go for Benteke or Haller from Frankfurt. We need a big man up top for Rafa’s system. Haller was linked a while back when in Holland and he’s done well in Germany since.”
“Rondon, Slimani if cheap
“Out of the blue but I’d love for us to go in for Llorente from Spurs, Charlie Austin would also be a spot on option IMO”
“Tammy Abraham, Danny Ings”
“Plea and Rondon. A pacey striker who is clinical AND a target man for tougher games.”
We should go for Origi I think few good options out there though Moussa Dembele Willian Jose as well

Amusing suggestions – Batshuayi (would cost upwards of £30m), Rashford (a loan deal is ambitious enough, never mind a bid!) Giroud, Carroll.
Interesting suggestions – Origi, Dembele, Aboubakar, Haller (Rafa has history from Utrecht days and profile fits the bill)
Plenty calls for Rondon and Ings (to my surprise) and a few more saying Tammy Abraham than I would’ve expected given his rejection last summer (although I do rate him myself).
If we’re keeping it realistic, who would you like to see Rafa go for?
Abraham, Yuary Poulsen, king, Ings, KODJA,

Paul Chow, the Hebburn Town striker, has a great scoring record, but I don’t think we’ll be able to afford him!

Origi, Dembele would be lovely, Rondon and Ings would be nice.
