Nine players who could leave NUFC before the end of the month – Either permanently or on loan

While the transfer window is over for us as far as incoming signings are concerned, there are still several Newcastle players who could seal either loan or permanent moves away from the club – with us able to offload players until August 31st.

With that in mind, here’s TEN players who could yet find moves elsewhere before the end of the month:

Henri Saivet – The Senegalese midfielder is clearly not in Rafa’s plans – behind Shelvey, Diame, Ki and Hayden in the pecking order – and it looks like he’s close to sealing a PERMANENT move away. He’s now un Turkey, having completed his medical ahead of a move to Bursaspor.

Rolando Aarons – Another player who wasn’t given a squad number by Benitez. He’s shown promise at times, but injuries and failure to make a consistent impact as a result means he’s another one who’s very much fifth choice in his department. He’s been offered to several Championship clubs on loan according to The Chronicle.

Achraf Lazaar – It says it all that we’re woefully short on left-backs and he has STILL not been offered a place in Rafa’s squad or pre-season plans. The Chronicle claim that there’s been very little interest in him, however a return to Italy or even the MLS could be on the cards.

Freddie Woodman – A top young talent who needs to be playing regular first-team football – not wasting away in the U-23’s. There’s interest from the EFL and Scottish League over a potential loan deal according to reports.

Sean Longstaff – Rafa cancelled his proposed loan move to Portsmouth after he impressed in pre-season, however a temporary move could yet be sanctioned if Rafa feels he has the depth to let him develop elsewhere. Muto may be able to cover Ayoze Perez in the number 10 move, so he may yet be allowed to leave until January.

Callum Roberts – The young winger impressed in patches over pre-season and  could benefit from a year in the Football League playing week in week out at senior level. He scored in the opening game of the PL2 against West Brom on Monday and admitted after the game that he’d be open to a temporary move away.

Victor Fernandez – Another talented young winger who was part of our pre-season, he may benefit from a year of competitive football at senior level. He’s a talented player and The Chronicle claim that there’s been interest in him from several EFL clubs.

Jamie Sterry – If Yedlin’s injury proves to be serious it’s unlikely Rafa will let him leave, however he’s another who would benefit more from a year out on loan after being involved with the first-team over pre-season.

Dan Barlaser – One of our top performers at U-23 level in recent years. He went to Crewe on loan in January but that was cut short after only being handed four appearances (all from the bench). He’s a talented player, but one that may really benefit from experiencing the physicality of senior football on a weekly basis.

  1. I heard a comment that Ashley has ordered a cost saving and clear out to reduce operational costs and the wage bill which maybe an effort to make the club more attractive to a buyer….

Let’s hope he is gone soon…
