The players are now back at the Benton training base for the first day of pre-season, with several being full of smiles despite our shambolic summer so far.
It has also been confirmed that U-23 trio Mo Sangare, Nathan Harker and Thomas Allan have been promoted to first-team training, with Ben Dawson and Neil Redfearn set to oversee matters at senior level now we’ve been left manager-less.

Miguel Almíron, Fabian Schär, Martin Dúbravka and Christian Atsu remain on an extended break, with them having been away on international duty over the summer.
