Man Utd fans fuming ahead of trip to Newcastle – This is surely the PERFECT time to play them..

Sunday’s visit of Manchester United is a tale of two managers who desperately need a win.

We all know Steve Bruce needs a reaction and result given last weeks abject thrashing at Leicester, but the visitors aren’t coming in great shape themselves.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under immense pressure after their worst start to the season for 30 years, with “#OleOut’ trending on Twitter last night after yet another abject display.

They were lucky to escape with a point in that Europa League tie at AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night and seem a far cry from the Man United of old, coming away from the game without a single shot on target.

Solskjaer was hailed as a saviour after taking over from Mourinho but things aren’t so rosy for the Norwegian now.

Indeed, the last time they won away was when they beat Paris St Germain back in March which was arguably his best result, with them failing to win ANY of their last 10 away games since then and sitting 10th in the table as a result.

If you look at the comments on social media, patience is wearing thin amongst the fans and some are actually speculating that if they lose on Sunday he may be sacked:

They are not without injury problems either, with Pogba, Shaw, Martial, Wan Bissaka and Lingard all expected to miss out on Sunday. Not only that, we should be the fresher side given they played in the Europa League just a few days before Sunday’s game at St James’ Park.

Could it be the perfect time to play them? Steve Bruce certainly thinks so and so do many fans. We can’t be any worse than the last two games and the players, and indeed Bruce owe us fans a performance.
