Anita’s Attitude Is Spot On

July 19, 2016July 19, 2016 Andy The Magpie

Vurnon Anita is preparing for the new season and no-one should be in any doubt that he is of the right mindset to help us out of the Championship. Quoted in the Chronicle Live, he said:

“I am ready to start again and be an important player for the team. I want to give my all for the team and the club. I want to be an important player for the team.

“It’s lot of games. But that’s why pre-season is very important to us and us getting fit again. We have to be ready for the pre-season.

“Although, we do learn a lot in training here. We have to bring that in games as well.”

Rafa, print that out and put it on the dressing room wall. It’s spot on in terms of attitude and we need everyone to buy into it. We carried enough passengers last season; we don’t need any this time around.

The way the tour is going, the players seem on course for a good start in the new season. There’s a world of difference between these preparation matches and the real thing but everyone is talking the talk. Walking the walk is all that matters in a couple of weeks time.

But if we’ve got players with this attitude, things are looking good.
