Newcastle United expected to get rid of quartet in the next few days

August 16, 2017August 16, 2017 Andy The Magpie

According to reports from the Daily Star, Newcastle United will be getting rid of the likes of Manu Riviere, Massadio Haidara, Tim Krul and Jack Colback very soon.

There has been a lot of talk regarding incomings at Newcastle United over the next two weeks but one should remember that the Magpies still have to get rid of a number of players in order to balance the squad as well as the books.

Newcastle have managed to offload the likes of Florian Thauvin, Daryl Murphy, Vurnon Anita, Haris Vuckic and Sammy Ameobi among others so far this summer but there are still a number of players present in the squad who have been deemed as surplus to requirements.

The likes of Manu Riviere, Massadio Haidara, Tim Krul and Jack Colback are the four high profile players left out on the cold by manager Rafael Benitez and according to reports from the Daily Star; the quartet is expected to leave in the coming days.

Riviere and Haidara have both failed to impress at Newcastle and are expected to return to their respective homelands this summer while veteran Tim Krul is also set to be shown the door following his unimpressive loan spells at Ajax and AZ Alkmaar last season.

As for Colback, the midfielder is said to have had a bust-up with Benitez in training and the Championship looks the most likely destination for the ex-Sunderland man.
