Watford & Norwich pull off impressive double signing – Ex-NUFC target & €11m winger

It’s very early days in this summer’s transfer window, but other sides are strengthening while we are stuck in limbo waiting to see what happens with this ongoing Saudi takeover saga.

Two clubs making early moves are newly promoted duo Watford and Norwich, who have announced a couple of very shrewd signings over the past 24 hours.

Watford have pulled off the signing of Club Brugge star Emmanuel Dennis – a lightning quick forward who we reportedly made a sizeable bid to sign just last January.

As for Norwich, they have just announced the €11m arrival of Bundesliga winger Milot Rashica – a superb piece of business that’s flew way under the radar and wowed many reacting to the news on social media.

They may have lost Buendia, who has completed a £35m move to Aston Villa, however The Athletic reported just a few days ago that they are ahead of ourselves in the race to sign Celtic centre-back and top Toon target Kristoffer Ajer.

Again, it’s early days as far as the summer window is concerned, but The Chronicle have just reported that arbitration proceedings could see us put any arrivals on hold while we wait for a result on the takeover front.

If it goes in our favour we’ll have money to spend and time to put things right, but should we lose and be left with a small budget under Mike Ashley, we may have been left behind by then and missed out on a host of bargain buys.
