Huge claims from Spain: Newcastle set to sign Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad?

Some massive claims have emerged from Spain in the last few moments regarding a potential move to St James’ Park for Alexander Isak.

According to Diario Vasco – a Basque country outlet that cover Real Sociedad – Newcastle have agreed to sign the highly-rated Swede for an initial fee of £59m.

The report claims that a further £4m could be paid in potential add-ons, meaning the deal could rise to £63m in total.

Other Spanish outlets have since reported the same information, with Diario Vasco claiming that the La Liga side have inserted a 10% sell-on clause into the deal.

They claim that our offer has been accepted and that a move is ‘imminent’, suggesting the local paper have huge confidence that this one really is going ahead after interest from Newcastle ‘all summer.’

Fingers crossed folks, as this would be a huge statement of intent, with the 22-year-old believed to be one of Europe’s top young strikers.
