Newcastle launch bid for prolific Ligue 1 star and plot move for Olympiacos midfielder – Report

According to new reports on Wednesday morning, Newcastle have launched a bid for Rennes winger Martin Terrier.

This comes from Football Insider, who claim we have submitted a bid worth £25m for the Frenchman who enjoyed a stunning season in Ligue 1 last term.

The former Lyon attacker bagged 21 goals and seven assists over the 2021/22 season and is a wide man who has also played up front in recent seasons

Football Insider state that Everton have also shown interest in the 25-year-old, who has recently held talks with Rennes over a potential new deal.

The same outlet also claims that Newcastle – along with Leicester – are plotting a move for Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been linked with a move for the Guinea international, who could leave the Greek giants over the final 10 days of the transfer window after they bowed out of Champions League qualifying at the second round last month.

With Jonjo Shelvey ruled out until December and recent reports suggesting we could sign another deep-lying midfielder before the window shuts, a move for Camara could make sense.
