According to new reports, Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Jobe Bellingham – the younger brother of England star, Jude.
In their latest exclusive, TEAMtalk claim that Newcastle are one of six clubs showing interest in the 17-year-old midfielder, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Rangers, Middlesbrough and Sunderland also keen.
After making his Championship debut at the age of 16 last season, the Stourbridge-born talent has appeared 12 times for the Blues already this term.
Despite interest from Germany, it’s thought the teenager is ‘likely’ to stay in England should the Blues receive an offer they can’t refuse in the new year.
The second tier side are yet to secure new owners, leaving them vulnerable to losing the England youth international who has represented his country at U15, U16, U17 and U18 age groups.
With the club now actively pursuing some of the most promising young players following Dan Ashworth’s arrival, it would be no surprise if Jobe Bellingham is on our radar; especially if he’s anything like his £100m-rated brother!
