Joelinton STARTS – Official Newcastle team to face Fulham as Howe sticks by Brazilian

The team sheets are in ahead of today’s clash with Fulham, which hands Eddie Howe’s Mags a chance to move back into third in the Premier League.

Without further ado, here’s the side he’s gone with at St James’ Park:

(4-3-3): Pope – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn – Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock – Almiron, Wilson, Joelinton.

SUBS: Dubravka, Lascelles, Isak, Saint-Maximin, Ritchie, Lewis, Manquillo, Wood, Murphy.

So, Joelinton has kept his place in the side, despite his arrest in the early hours of Thursday morning for drink driving.

This means Allan Saint-Maximin remains on the bench, alongside fit-again striker Alexander Isak, seeing Howe select the same side that beat Leicester 2-0 in midweek. Ryan Fraser is not in the squad.

It’s also worth noting that Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar are one booking away from a ban, meaning they’ll miss our trip to Crystal Palace if either are cautioned here.

For Fulham, ex-Mag Aleksandar Mitrovic has returned to the side following suspension, but left-back Antonee Robinson misses out after picking up his fifth yellow of the season on Thursday.
