The Telegraph have released a piece on Allan Saint-Maximin’s future at St James’ Park – a topic that seems to never go away ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to ‘senior sources’ who’ve spoken to The Telegraph, the Frenchman remains in the “not for sale category”, despite reports he’ll be put in the shop window to raise additional funds.
Interestingly, the same piece features quotes from an unnamed individual and ‘source close’ to the player himself, who says – “Allan knows he needs to do everything he can to remain a part of what is happening at Newcastle. He has to prove he is part of the future, not a hero of the past. It is a different club to the one he joined and he knows that.”
These are encouraging comments, suggesting ASM remains fully focused on his future at Newcastle and determined to become the latest success story under Eddie Howe.
The boss recently described the 26-year-old as an “integral part of his plans” moving forward, while the man himself has often gone public with his desire to stay on Tyneside and fulfill his dreams – a French call-up and Champions League football – in a black and white shirt.
However, Luke Edwards’ piece insists that there’s no smoke without fire and that ‘those who have access to privileged information behind the scenes’ are aware of the constant noise that he could leave, but a summer exit doesn’t seem as imminent as some suggest.
I could see the club cashing in if the right offer arrives and ASM feels his first-team opportunities could be limited next season, yet it would be a shame to see him go just when European football return to St James’ Park – the very thing he’s wanted since arriving in 2019.

This is a fabricated press story .. even when Newcastle and the player are categorical about his plan to stay .. Luke edwards will push the narrative as he has nothing else to talk about .. never listen to anything that comes from that fake and don’t keep recycling the same old claptrap
