As revealed by Footy Headlines, Adidas look set to release a 1990s-themed Newcastle third kit for the 2024/25 season as the club prepare to part ways with Castore next year.
Adidas had been the club’s kit manufacturer during the entertainer’s era and have now returned under the new ownership to design the strips for next season’s campaign.
It was also announced recently that Newcastle would be one of Adidas’s ‘elite teams’, meaning we will receive unique designs every year and not templates that are used by multiple clubs.
According to the report, Newcastle’s third kit will use Adidas’ iconic EQT green colour to bring back the 1990s theme, more specifically a nod to the popular 1999-2000 away shirt (see below).
This will no doubt go down very well with fans who are likely to be happy to see the back of Castore after a number of issues with the kit manufacturers in recent years.
