England reveal 33-man squad (provisional) for Euro 2024 – Gordon in, Rashford out

Anthony Gordon has been selected alongside Kieran Trippier in Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man England squad for Euro 2024, with the final 26-man squad set to be submitted by June 7th.

It’s a well-deserved reward for Gordon after 12 goals an 10 assists over 2023/24 and suggests the ankle injury that kept him out of Sunday’s 4-2 victory over Brentford is not serious.

Sadly, there’s no place for Nick Pope, who has only played once since December following surgery on his shoulder, while Callum Wilson, Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall have also missed the cut. Here’s the squad in full:

Jordan Henderson misses out along with Marcus Rashford and there’s no place for Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, former Toon target Kalvin Phillips or Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
