Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly ready to leave his club in pursuit of a big move with both Newcastle and Liverpool interested, according to L’Equipe.
Newcastle are in the market for a new first-team right-winger and have already looked at the likes of Michael Olise, though Crystal Palace’s asking price may be too much.
However, Mbeumo looks to be the much more affordable option and after the 24-year-old could be just the addition that Newcastle are missing on the right-hand side of the attack.
In just one season the Cameroon international recorded as many assists (six) in the Premier League as Miguel Almiron has recorded in his entire Newcastle career, and he added nine goals to go along with it.
Liverpool’s interest could pose a big issue for Newcastle given their Champions League status, but the hope would be that our long-term project would be enough to convince the attacker to come to St James’ Park.

Probably about £40m, same as Bakayoko. Cheaper than some of the other names
