Newcastle linked with €30m centre-back with Tosin Adarabioyo set for Chelsea

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Newcastle are considering making a move for Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen after missing out on a free transfer for Tosin Adarabioyo.

It’s been reported today by Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea are now in pole position to sign the Fulham defender despite Newcastle having been working on a deal for weeks.

It seems we’ll have to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements and it’s believed Juventus could sell the 19-year-old for a quick profit after his impressive loan spell at Roma.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been linked with the Dutch-born defender, but it seems we could face competition from Borussia Dortmund; the German giants set to pay in tonight’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

It’s believed that a fee of around €30m might be enough to persuade the Turin-based club to sell, though whether Newcastle are willing to commit that much on a defender when they had planned on a free transfer remains to be seen.
