Two rumours cleared up by Alexander Isak as new quotes arrive from Swedish media

Alexander Isak has played down any talk of a summer move away from Newcastle, insisting he has “no thoughts” about leaving and “loves everything” about the club following the best season of his career.

The Swede also played down suggestions he could be sold for FFP reasons, insisting there is “no talk or drama around it” from the club’s perspective, with Toon chiefs giving zero indication that we’ll have to cash in.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Isak said: “I’m enjoying myself very, very well in Newcastle. I had my best season now in my career. That should not be underestimated.

“I love everything really about the club, the fans, the city. I actually have no thoughts of a move or anything like that. I enjoy myself fantastically well and am very happy with my life.”

“It is not something I am speculating on. Within the team or the club there has been no talk or drama around it. I have not received the information from the club that they would have to sell me.”

The striker then spoke about the 2023/24 season, Isak added: “It has been good, especially the second part of the season. I had some knocks and injuries the first part.

“It was a bit difficult to find the “flow” but in the last few months I have played regularly and gained continuity. It has shown in the performances as well.”

Great to hear from the Swede, who is undoubtedly one of the best forwards in Europe. It’s easy to see why the likes of Arsenal want him, but clear that he isn’t even thinking about a move and one of our prised assets that the club have no intention of selling any time soon.

  1. Is it crazy to think players could fall in love with our City & club the way we do?!.

I watched the champions league final and the pundits spent the first 10 minutes talking about Newcastle as the highlight of this years champions league.

Ally McCoist – a former mackem, has found a new love for NUFC.

Why would it be so crazy to think players like Isak & Bruno & Gordon wouldn’t fall in love with what we are doing.
