The Yankuba Minteh saga has taken a fresh twist on a weekend full of exit talk surrounding the Gambian winger.
L’Equipe report that Everton are no longer the only Premier League side keen on the teenager, reporting that Brighton have now joined the race.
This wouldn’t be a major surprise given their tendency to recruit exciting young talent with potential to grow and won’t do much to ease Newcastle fans’ fears given their impressive recruitment record.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Lyon have also registered their interest and have made contact with the player’s camp after shortlisting the 19-year-old as a summer target.
Romano adds that Everton have also held talks. Sky Germany have reported on Borussia Dortmund’s interest and Sky Italy report that Roma and Marseille are on a long list of clubs plotting a move.
Where he ends up is anyone’s guess at this stage, but it does feel increasingly clear he’s going to be sold for PSR reasons in the coming weeks.

Yeh its looking like it’s happening no matter what now doesn’t it.
So long as we put a buy back in thats not too expensive, then I say just do it.

Foolish to sell Minteh. Sell Wilson and keep Minteh.

Newcastle sell Toney for a pittance, look at his price tag now! Minteh Deja vu? England for goodness sake don’t replace Southgate with Howe we will be back where we started!

TigerMax the fee will have nothing to do with Howe don’t know why you felt the need to bring in Howe in the conversation and just because he’s scored few goals in the Dutch league doesn’t mean he’s going to be some Premier League wing sensation
