Why Staveley’s leaving, striker linked, 13 deals to sort & Southgate debate – New podcast!

The NUFC Blogcast is back for another week, as me and Ed react to news of Amanda Staveley’s imminent exit, England’s semi-final win, the latest transfer links and much, much more (Listen here or press play the play button below)

We start by reacting to England’s dramatic win over the Netherlands before discussing the surprise announcement that Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi will leave this summer.
I pay tribute to the pair of influential co-owners and debate why this may be a natural stopping points for their time on Tyneside after a brilliant three years.

Next comes transfer talk surrounding Jonathan David and Anthony Gordon, along with the 13 Mags out of contract next summer and Paul Mitchell’s arrival.

Four right wingers are discussed in our poll of the week, along with a debate around Gareth Southgate’s future after Sunday’s final, then we answer your Twitter questions on all things NUFC.

Last but not least, we run through some injury latest, the TV picks for the opening six games of 2024/25, four ex-Mags who’ve been on the move this week and two statement signings for NUFC Women before ending with FYI Man.

Give it a listen and subscribe if you enjoy!

  1. Her actions in brokering a deal and not giving up on it to rid us of the fat oaf saved this club and she’ll forever be loved and thanked for it

  2. I think Staveley was always going to leave. She’s done her job, brokering the sale and being a female face of the all male Saudi ownership…
In the next coming seasons we will see the true owners plans i think we will see a ruthlessness.. they will sell the st James park name and we will move from St james park … and we wont recognise Newcastle untied
