The Premier League season is back and the bookies have reacted, releasing their latest odds after a busy few days of football up and down the country.
Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool are heavy favourites to all finish in the Champions League spots, with Sky Bet having Man Utd, Spurs and Chelsea (all 2/1) at the same price to seal a top four finish.
Next come Newcastle at 9/4, then Aston Villa (7/2), Brighton (10/1) and West Ham; priced at 16/1 following their 2-1 defeat to Villa on Saturday night.
Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Man Utd and Brighton all won to nil over the opening weekend of the new season, while Spurs face a trip to Leicester City in tonight’s 8pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
Based on Sky’s latest odds, these are the current top four odds:
- Arsenal – 1/12
- Man City – 1/8
- Liverpool – 1/2
- Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea – 2/1
- Newcastle – 9/4
- Aston Villa – 7/2
- Brighton – 10/1
- West Ham – 16/1
For me, it feels like there could be five clubs pushing for that fourth spot, with Newcastle battling the likes of Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
