According to Alan Nixon at The Sun, Amanda Staveley could be set for a quick return to the Premier League scene with Spurs in her sights.
He reports that Staveley, who departed Newcastle in July after just under three years at the club, has been backed with “serious money” from the Middle East and would be looking to first secure a 25% stake in the club – which would equate to roughly £650m – before pursuing a full Middle Eastern takeover from ENIC.
The 51-year-old is no stranger to Middle Eastern investment in the Premier League, helping broker takeovers at Manchester City and Newcastle United in 2010 and 2021, with the financer playing a key role in bringing the Saudi PIF to St James’ Park.
Staveley and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi remain popular figures on Tyneside, though it would create a slightly strange scenario should she be the one to help propel one of Newcastle’s Premier League rivals further up the table.

“ What on Earth is Happening to my Club ,where are these stupid rumours coming from ,who is making them up and WHY …? “.

Do we really care what she is up to?
Her main role and the reason she was kept on by PIF was to soften the image of a Saudi takeover. Purely PR.
Spends more time in court than in the office, dumped by PIF and now loves Newcastle so much she wants to buy a share in Spurs?
Yet for some reason some fans just can’t get over her.
So sad.

When you say “what’s happening to MY club” I’m guessing you are a Spurs fan, because this has nothing to do with Newcastle. And as you are a Spurs fan, we don’t really care!
Good luck with Mandy. She’ll make 4 or 5 million on the deal and then spend 10 million on frivolous law suits.

Being a big NUFC fan I’m afraid our club is becoming an embarrassed now with the way we conduct ourselves in every transfer window this Guehi move we should have walked away long ago not a good start for Mitchell

Looks like PIF had had enough of her shenanigans with court cases being funded by Club loans and share sales, then PSR failure to employ simple arithmetic to prevent overspending. This is what happens to self taught ‘financiers’ without either recognised professional qualifications, plus a serious lack of experience in running a football club. Newspaper Reports from decades ago revealed a teenage schoolgirl helping her grandad run an illegal betting den in the basement of a Doncaster terraced house……until Police eventually swooped and closed it down. Yes, apparently she was that girl who subsequently dropped out of Uni, opened a restaurant and pursued her way to the top developing allegiances with racehorse owning Saudi’s visiting her eatery. A financial brokerage followed in Dubai, a place free of the stringency of UK financial regulation coupled with a reputation of having countless so called ‘financial advisers’ ripping off British exPats with dubious advice for years. I’ll eat my hat if Levy at Spurs hasn’t already done his due diligence.
