Newcastle’s 25-man squad offers injury hope and 5 absentees explained

Newcastle United have released their official 25-man squad for the first half of the 2024/25 season following the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

FIVE goalkeepers are named in Pope, Dubravka, Vlachodimos, Ruddy and Gillespie, while the inclusion of Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles hints that both have a chance of featuring before the New Year as they recover from ACL injuries.

The list only needs to cover players over the age of 21, meaning the likes of Lewis Hall, Will Osula, Lewis Miley, Trevan Sanusi and Alex Murphy don’t need to be named but are still eligible to play.
