Eddie Howe has been speaking to the media in the last few moments, offering an update on the injury front ahead of Sunday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
The good news is that Jacob Murphy will be back in the squad after missing our last two with a slight hamstring issue, while Alexander Isak, Joe Willock and Anthony Gordon have all been passed fit after coming through last weekend’s 1-0 win over Arsenal unscathed.
Now for the bad news, the boss confirmed that Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier will miss out once again this weekend, although it’s hoped both will be back after the international break.
Howe has also revealed that Sven Botman’s comeback from an ACL issue may be slightly delayed, feeling January is now a more likely return date for the Dutchman despite suggestions he could return in December.
Elsewhere, Matt Targett returned to training this week and should be available for selection, although it’ll be tough for the defender to force his way back into Howe’s plans with Lewis Hall nailing down his spot in the side at left-back.
A big test awaits at Forest – who are up to third in the league after their superb start to the season – but we have plenty of confidence and a platform to build on after back-to-back wins in the league and cup last week. HWTL.
