Confirmed Newcastle team vs Nottingham Forest as hosts leave former Mag on bench

The teams are in at the City Ground and Newcastle United are unchanged from last Saturday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal.

NUFC XI: Pope, Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall, Bruno, Longstaff, Willock, Gordon, Joelinton, Isak.

SUBS: Dubravka, Tonali, Barnes, Targett, Osula, J.Murphy, Almiron, Kelly, Miley.

There’s two changes on the bench as Emil Krafth and Alex Murphy drop out, seeing Matt Targett and Jacob Murphy return to Howe’s squad.

Chris Wood starts for Forest, but Elliot Anderson is on the bench for the second game running after Morgan Gibbs-White returned in their 3-0 win over West Ham last weekend.

Nottingham Forest XI: Sels, Aina, Milenković, Murillo, Moreno, Yates, Domínguez, Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi, Wood

Subs: Miguel, Morato, Williams, Boly, Anderson, Ward-Prowse, Awoniyi, Silva, Sosa

A tough test on the road given Forest’s superb start to the season, but hopefully we can build on back to back wins and improve our previously poor away form. HWTL!
