Agent of £64m striker identifies Newcastle as potential move in 2025 – Report

Newcastle United could be offered the opportunity to sign Victor Osimhen next summer, with it thought that they will be offered a loan deal once the striker returns from Galatasaray.

According to The Chronicle, the Magpies have been identified by Osimhen’s representatives as one of the potential Premier League clubs that could be a good fit for the striker’s next move.

The outlet reveals that Newcastle had scouted the Nigerian during his time at Lille, prior to his £64.3 million transfer to Napoli. The striker has gone from strength to strength since then and was one of the most dangerous forwards in Italy before he made his loan move to Turkey, where he’s scored eight goals in nine games so far.

As part of the deal, he has a clause in his deal which stipulates that he is allowed to leave during the January transfer window should an agreeable offer come in, although a move next summer seems more likely for the 25-year-old.

Though the report is quite adventurous, the future of Alexander Isak isn’t certain. Contract talks have stalled and he is one of the best No.9s on the planet right now, leaving many to question if he could be sold next summer should Newcastle miss out on Europe and receive a huge offer for the Swede; who has four goals in his last four. Lots of ifs and buts, but Osimhen could be a standout option for Newcastle if Isak does depart.

Osimhen made a huge impact at Napoli, netting 65 Serie A goals and leading the club to a first league title in over 20 years. However, last term wasn’t as fruitful and the recent appointment of Antonio Conte as Napoli’s manager, as well as the club mocking him on a social media post last season, has seen a shift.

It’s thought that he will never play for Napoli again, with the Serie A giants expected to sell to the highest bidder at the end of the 2024/25 season.

  1. The kid is a talent for sure, but he or his agents always seem to be looking for the next move.

You’ve gotta ask why Napoli would let someone with that scoring record leave – and why is he playing in Turkey & not one of the elite teams?! – can’t be footballing reasons coz he’s s stats are up there with the best.

I’d favour Jonathon David personally 🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. You can be 100% certain this is a load of tripe. The chances of Osimhen landing here are exactly zero.

  3. So two questions occur
Are talks ‘ stalled’ with isak or simply not needed as he’s got three years on his contract??
What was the reason osimhen moved to Galatarasay as it feels an odd move

  4. Howe has already stated they might review issaks contract in future depending on how well he does .. there are no contract negotiations ., fake news being washed rinsed and repeated

  5. Wow juidgiung by these comments Ashley has really left his mark or you or you’re Sunderland fans. Whats the matter with this report? Nothing. Where theres smoke… He’s not on loan for nothing you know and the fact which the article states is that no ones come in for him so why not Newcastle? Not everything is cloak and dagger and Conte obviously wanted Lukau whom he had at Milan and make a profit at the same time. It was probably Napoli that instigated it by writing bad things about him on their own website and not his agents at all. In fact he has only had 4 clubs and 2 loans and Isak has had way more in fact, you can’t do anything about loans.
