Good news for two Newcastle United stars as England announce changes

Tino Livramento has been called up to the England squad after EIGHT players dropped out ahead of the upcoming international break, while Anthony Gordon has eased any injury fears by being passed fit to feature.

Last night, England confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, Levi Colwill, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Cole Palmer, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka had all pulled out of Three Lions duty, seeing Livramento, Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Jarrad Branthwaite and Toon target James Trafford take their place.

As for Gordon, he was substituted late on in our win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday after suffering a hip problem; the same issue that kept him out of our 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last month.

However, despite eight of his England teammates pulling out of the latest squad named by Lee Carsley due to injury, the winger was pictured in his England gear to meet up with the rest of the squad and staff.

Gordon will now be joined by two of his Newcastle teammates with Lewis Hall earning a first ever call-up to the first-team while Livramento returns to the squad this time hoping to make his debut.

England will face Greece and Ireland in their final two games in the Nations League and it would be good to see all three Newcastle players feature especially with a lack of recognised full-backs in the side.
