Joelinton releases emotional statement after family home is targeted again

Joelinton’s family home has been broken into for the second time in 10 months this week, forcing the Brazilian to issue a message to thieves on his Instagram account.

After a previous robbery in January this year, big Joe has pleaded with thieves to stop and leave him and his loved ones to “live in peace.”

Fortunately, Joelinton and his family were away when the burglary took place, but it’s awful to see someone who gives so much to the club, community and city left living in fear due to the money he makes playing football.

In an emotional post on his Instagram story today, Joelinton said: “Our home was broken into again. To anyone considering doing this – please know that there is nothing valuable left here!

“What we care about most is our family’s safety and our kids growing up without fear. We hope for a community where our children, and everyone’s children, feel safe. We ask that our home be respected as a safe space for our family. We simply want to live in peace.”

Sending our love to Joelinton, his wife and young family, who should not have to feel unsafe or targeted in their own home.
