Three Newcastle stars nominated for four Premier League awards

After a brilliant few weeks at Newcastle United, the club feature in FOUR Premier League nominations for December.

Player of the month

Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy are among the Newcastle nominees for Premier League player of the month, after both players were instrumental in our amazing end to 2024.

Isak, who managed an astounding eight goals and two assists in just six appearances, will most likely rival Liverpool’s Mo Salah for the December award.

Jacob Murphy meanwhile enjoyed a career-best month, weighing in with seven goal involvements across games against Brentford, Leicester, Ipswich and Aston Villa.

The other nominees in the public vote are:

  • Mohamed Salah
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold
  • Cole Palmer
  • Antonee Robinson
  • Morgan Gibbs-White
  • Dean Huijsen

Manager of the month

Elsewhere, Eddie Howe has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month, where the gaffer will be hoping to win the award for the first time since October 2022.

Competing against Arne Slot, Nuno Santo and Andoni Iraola, our four wins in six games, combined with mammoth wins over Manchester United, Aston Villa and more, make a very strong case for Howe to win his sixth award, tying him with the great Sir Bobby Robson and former manager Sam Allardyce.

Goal of the month

Isak also finds himself in the running for the Guinness Goal of the Month with his spectacular opening strike against Liverpool in the classic 3-3 draw at St James’ Park.

Overall, we’ll be hoping to complete the clean sweep of awards like we did in October 2022, when Miguel Almiron notably enjoyed both the Player and Goal of the Month awards.
