An unforgettable day was made even more special thanks to Sela’s contribution at the Town Moor.
The Saudi Arabian entertainment and hospitality that sponsor Newcastle United’s shirts added to our special occasion in dazzling fashion to enhance a memorable occasion even further.
Highlights from the day we’ll never forget were far from limited as 300,000 gathered to show their appreciation for the Mags efforts in ending our 70 year wait for a domestic trophy.
Sela’s drone show
Sela took to the sky for an epic drone display against an overcast sky above Newcastle with an unforgettable show.
Dan Burn’s powerful header and Alexander Isak’s strike at Wembley were recreated in the air above the stage as a sea of black-and-white stood shoulder to shoulder and made their voices heard in adoration of their football club.
‘TOON TOON’, ‘THE MAGS ARE MASSIVE’ and a representation of the Carabao Cup trophy also flashed up in the sky in what has been dubbed the Geordie Glastonbury. Watch here:
Mags are all that matters
This is our moment and don’t let anyone take that away from you. 70 years we have waited for a domestic cup lift, most of us having never seen the Toon win anything in our lifetimes.
“Tinpot,” will say some from within other fanbases. I pity them, truly, because they can never understand a city and a region so connected and devoted to its club. A whole area that eats, drinks and sleeps Newcastle United Football Club.
Let them mock, as talk is cheap. Many true football fans from across the world will have watched our celebrations and understood the emotions, why the open top bus parade was so necessary.
Liverpool fans, generally, seem to have been classy and continued to be very complimentary towards us as they did at Wembley. Other Sky Six clubs supporters, and some Reds, have been active in the comment sections of posts about Saturday trying to diminish our celebrations.
Those that get it, get it. Those that don’t get it, don’t matter.
