Official images of Newcastle United’s new third kit appear to have been leaked today.
A number of photos emerged on social media on Thursday afternoon, showing several of our star players donning the new shirt that is already dividing opinion online.
Described as a ‘modern tribute to the iconic 97/98 away kit’, the shirt is a striking blue with an orange and pale green trim, featuring the Adidas Originals logo and a black shield behind the famous Newcastle United badge.
See the leaked images below, showing Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak and Joelinton in the new design that looks set to be unveiled officially imminently.
As the shot of Bruno shows, the new third kit will also be available in long sleeve, much like the new home shirt for 2025/26.
It’s yet to be confirmed, but the away shirt is set to be a bright green with a white trim, which will no doubt spark more controversy given the links to Saudi Arabia via our PIF owners.

The black background and full on badge is a bit unnecessary. Last seasons training kit just had a black (or white) outline of the badge, which would look just as well in orange here.

It’s alright, I suppose. The big black badge does look like you’ve bought your own patch and stuck it on. Looks a bit cheap.

The badge is a homage to the old blue, green and orange kit but for me it looks out of place on this one. I love the retro redesign ideas but this one is a huge miss imo, love the new home kit and I think the Saudi inspired 2nd kits always feel tacky. I’m happy for Saudi pif to own us but I don’t need their flag colours as a reminder every season.

Don’t like it.

I really like it. The more you look at it the more it grows on you. Just the right amount of weird for me. I’m all for the big badge homage and the old school adidas logo. Maybe not everyone is as old as me though…

Not sure on this 3rd kit but I might be persuaded, The home kit is getting more expensive each year but I will buy the replica one instead. The Saudi green is deffo not to my liking at all,but if we are owned by the Saudi’s then that’s what you get…
