Newcastle United agreed a deal for Anthony Elanga on Monday and saw him arrive on Tyneside via private jet on Tuesday.
However, despite a £55m agreement in place, a five-year contract agreed and the player’s medical done and dusted on Wednesday, we still haven’t seen an official announcement from the club.
Yet, in the last few moments, a photo has been leaked of the 23-year-old in the new home kit. See it below:
This follows a photo we shared earlier of the winger meeting his new Toon teammates inside the club’s changing rooms at Benton.
Elanga recorded 18 goal involvements at Forest last season, with his 11 league assists only bettered by our very own Jacob Murphy and Liverpool’s Mo Salah.
The Swedish international becomes our first major signing in almost two years, seeing him link up with fellow countryman Alexander Isak and end Eddie Howe’s search for a new right winger.
With lightning pace, explosive energy, the ability to play with both feet, a great work ethic and plenty of room to improve under Howe, we’re confident Elanga will be a superb addition.
