An update has arrived this afternoon on Newcastle United’s plan to keep another key player at St James’ Park for several years to come.
All the talk has been about Alexander Isak over the past week, but it’s Toon talent Tino Livramento who has come into the picture today.
News of Man City’s interest has been well documented, with Pep Guardiola thought to be a ‘big fan’ of the England international and on the look out for a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
The Times’ Martin Hardy reports that City are prepared to pay £65m for the full-back this summer, but Newcastle have no plans to sell and will instead look to keep Tino happy with a bumper new contract.
Hardy reports that Newcastle will offer the 22-year-old a new six-year deal that will extend his deal from 2028 to 2031 and make him one of the club’s top earners.
Crucially, it’s believed Livramento is ‘keen’ to extend and agree on new terms to reflect his rise over the past 12 months, which has seen him called up to the England senior side and play a huge role in the U21s’ Euro glory last month.
Keeping Tino and Isak feels vital given the summer we’ve endured so far. However, soon enough we’ll have to ramp up plans to sign quality players, not just keep the best from our current crop.

NUFC transfer success 1/10. Pathetic. Pathetic.

Not pathetic, when you consider the constraints we`ve been put under by the ` Big Six`The sooner Masters establishes a level playing field the sooner we`ll be able to compete in the transfer market.

The more that spend on wages, the less they can spend on transfers.

Austin, it is truly pathetic, it cannot be denied. Masters the useless tw*t won’t last much longer after Man City blow his rules to kingdom come. This is only a matter of time.
