Newcastle United have FINALLY made a breakthrough in the striker market.
We shared Craig Hope’s story earlier this evening that Nick Woltemade could be closing in on a shock move to St James’ Park, and it’s now emerged that the big German is indeed on his way!
Both Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports’ Keith Downie have confirmed that Newcastle have struck a deal with Stuttgart to sign the 6ft 6″ striker, thought to be between £65-£70m+, depending on who you believe!
The 23-year-old striker is set to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours, with travel arrangements now being made to formalise a move; which could now unlock Alexander Isak’s exit, should Liverpool return with an improved second offer.
In a post on X, Romano gave it the ‘here we go’, saying: “Nick Woltemade to Newcastle, here we go! Agreement in place after official bid accepted.
“Fee over €80m plus add-ons, medical in England in the next 24 hours with travel being arranged right now. Long term deal agreed with Woltemade who says yes to #NUFC.”
Bayern Munich have made multiple bids for Woltemade this summer, but appear to be signing Nicolas Jackson, allowing Newcastle to step in and hijack a deal.
Sky’s Keith Downie claims it’s a £65m deal, while The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards suggests we shall pay closer to £70m for the forward, who was one of the star men at the U21 Euros.

Isak won’t be going anywhere unless he buy another striker

This lad is a real talent, very happy about this, now let’s get another forward and not let Judas go to the tin blippers, let’s sell him abroad next year,, also how can a player go on strike yet play for his country,, this is wrong on so many levels..

I recommend Newcastle as a plan B striker, and since Wissa is struggling to find a way to close the gap, I recommend Flamengo/Brazil’s CF Pedro Guilherme Abreu dos Santos. He’s already scored 10 goals in just a few games since he’s been a starter again this year. In short, we don’t need to focus on Premier League strikers, as we have plenty of good, low-cost strikers around the world with experience in continental competitions and at the national team level.

I’ve checked his stats. Over the last three seasons, the player has missed only one game due to injury (back problems in the first round two years ago). He was available for all other matches unless suspended. He started showing good form around December last year. That’s roughly when he began playing full matches. Before that, he was more of a rotation player.

I have reviewed his statistics. The athlete has missed just one game in the previous three years owing to injury, that being back difficulties in the first round two years ago. Unless he was suspended, he may have played in any of the other matches. His form began to improve in the latter half of last year. He started playing full matches around that time. He had previously been more of a utility guy. ragdoll archers
