Disgraceful from Alexander Isak in classless Liverpool interview – Wor Flags hit back

There will come a time soon when we stop talking about Alexander Isak. But it’s impossible to ignore the ongoing lack of respect we’ve seen from the classless Swede.

Across his seven-minute interview after joining Liverpool, his social media posts since signing and his official statement on their official website, the 25-year-old has not had a single word of thanks, love or respect to Newcastle fans. Much like his statement last month, where fans deserved at least some word of apology, we are ignored.

A lot has gone on this summer between him and Newcastle, but this is a fanbase that idolised him, sang his name, spent hours and thousands of pounds on flag displays. To totally blank us is a disgrace.

Wor Flags have hit back at his classless actions over the past month, releasing this short but cutting post accompanied by two tributes dedicated to him in previous seasons:

‘You were idolised and adored by every generation of our brilliant fan base, legendary status.

‘You have shown your true colours and thrown it right back in the face of those same supporters.

‘Good riddance.

‘Eddie Howe’s Black and White Army 🏴🏳️🏴🏳️’

Isak’s lack of respect or care is telling, although that is quite fitting with his behaviour towards the end of last season and all summer.

Here is what the selfish Swede had to say after signing for Liverpool:

“I feel amazing. It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for.

“It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there.”

“I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve. I’m a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well.

“I want to win everything. Yeah, [as simple as that].”

  1. **** him

I hope he gets a catastrophic injury that ruins his future season. Ungrateful piece of ****.

I hope one day he will live to regret his behaviour & conduct.

How amazing would it be if he scores less goals than our new German beast & Wissa?! One can hope……

  4. Why would he want to thank a fan base that has done nothing but insult him for the past 2 months. He could call you classless too.

  5. Where was the thanks from newcastle in their statement? He won you your first trophy is goodness knows how many years.

  6. Just glad he has gone, a super player but an awful human being.
Not a single word of thanks to Tyneside. We can all understand with L’pool’s history and trophy winning mentalty over the last 5 decades why he munched the carrot but personally I hope it chokes him. He is super for 65 minutes most games but is no 90 min plus player and is very prone to injury. He could have gone to that lot in a far better way. Beardsley, Wiladnum, Carroll, none of them were classless and so ungrateful. Good riddance.

  7. Newcastle, definition of small club mentality. Fans and management. This will be a horrific season for Newcastle, much thanks to this **** show caused by terrible management. But then again, this is a club not used to dealing with superstars.

He did not win us our first trophy!
The team of which he was part of won the trophy.
He has disrespected his fellow professionals, manager, coaches, teammates and last but not least the fans.
He has also been dishonourable to the “binding” contract he and his agent signed.

  12. Come on Olly – in all seriousness, do you honestly think that anything he says now he’s at Liverpool is going to in any way affect the way Toon fans feel about him?
    We are a fickle mob.
It’s like Melinda Gates taking a 76 billion dollar divorce settlement from her ex-husband, then Bill complaining that when she spoke to the press she never mentioned that he was an excellent saxophone player. It’s totally moot.
And if you want to be totally objective, the announcement from the club was hardly generous either.

Shearer, Gazza, Ginola, Supermac, Milburn, all superstars of their days. Of the ones that left us, Gazza, Ginola , Supermac, Milburn all left with our best wishes and still love our club and fan base. This is the only player I can think of who has EVER carried on like this, even Cabaye who wanted away stayed and got his head down for one more season.
We are not bitter or sad, just angry at the total lack of thanks and respect which is what has made our fan base turn on him.
Once you understand you are dealing with a narcissist it becomes so much easier to understand his behaviour.
Me personally I don’t wish him to break a bone or tear a ligament, that’s not my mindset. No my mindset is that we all move on and most of all I look forward to the day he leaves the PL for Madrid or Barca or whom ever he thinks is good enough for him.

Isak, did not win us our first silverware, there’s no I in team, we beat you, we tore you apart without the rat last week and you lost to Palace, read the writing on the wall, we are coming for you and you are so terrified, you poached Isak, and cherry picked your players in the hope of dominance!!
The best thing, that can happen, is the rat gets a career defining injury, your team, fails to gel and you end up like Manure!!
It’s not that we are jealous, we stick with our team through thick and thin, we don’t expect success, we achieve it, we are not mugs, but, true supporters!!

How our fans have treated him????
He went on strike you ****** idiots.
I don’t agree with the getting injured comment, that’s just just a hurt fan, but AI hasn’t exactly carried himself with any kind of respect.
The fans don’t know what was said behind closed doors, but to act in that way, then treat the fans who actually did and do idolise him with such a level of disrespect… its low

  18. Not all Newcastle fans hope he gets injured, just the odd idiot you get at ever club. And, for someone to suggest, the fans have no class because of the way he’s been treat over the past 2 MONTHS, get real. He’s totally forgot to thank us for the support we gave him over the past seasons.
He’s had his injury problems and no doubt he’ll have them again.
We’ve moved on, and now it’s hopefully Woltemade will exceed Isak and take us to the next level.

Teams like yours lack creativity or imagination, rarely develop talent, your lazy, you wait for other teams to do the hard work for you!you didn’t take a punt on Isak 3 year ago, lazy lazy pool!Eddie and his team have made him the player he is today

  20. Isak has shown his true mercenary colours. He has shown no respect for Newcastle as a club, its manager who have nurtured, the fan who have supported him and to his team mates who have worked as a team to do the best by the club. Liverpool had better make sure they document and get Isak to sign with witnesses any contract and do not make any verbal agreements with him to avoid lies as he has done to Newcastle United. Isak is lower than a snakes belly. He wants money, mo0ney,money and nothing more. If is a mercenary footballer nothing and nothing less. I wish him all that he wishes Newcastle United and the fans. The football world now know what a ***** he is and not welcome anywhere near the great Geordie nation every again. So sod off you spoilt brat may you not achieve what he wants to achieve and Liverpool live to regret taking you on board because you ain’t a reliable footballer. Thank god you have gone from us and we can move onward and upward and achieve more without Isak than we would have done with him. HOWAY THE LADS AND LASSES.

You have no idea what has been going on behind the scenes, he downed tools after the cup final in the hope we didn’t qualify for the champions league so that could be his excuse and it nearly worked, as for class just remember how Gerrard was forced to stay when he wanted to sign for Chelsea.

  22. It’s amusing how his so-called club promises have seemingly disappeared, as if they were never genuine to begin with. As supporters and a club, we must move forward; history will evaluate Isak for who he truly is, and I anticipate there are many more chapters in his story. Our part is finished, and thankfully, we won’t endure another summer like that one.

We are now equipped with a stronger squad for the upcoming season, and the troublesome player has been dispatched. Now, we have two strikers whose combined abilities surpass the options we had last season, and they are neither injury-prone nor of questionable character.

  23. Premier Football is a business, it’s not the “working class” game it used to be. I don’t begrudge AI going to Lpool, it’s just business. Cold and simple. What I find deeply offensive is the existing monopoly of the “big six” and the Prem league FFP rules. Until this situation is sorted there will never be a level playing field. If you look at winners of PL they are all teams who pay highest wages. Liverpool “should” win this season, or at least be close. Where’s the FFP here? When you could pick winner from 4 teams. #dissillusioned

  25. Did I ever imagine for a second that Isak would see out his career at NUFC – absolutely not.

Did I expect him to go on to bigger and better things – absolutely.

I have no issue with a player wanting to make the most of a short career – but this is about conduct not contractually obligation.

I don’t believe any player is worth £100m or should be paid the obscene sums they get – so it’s nothing to do with getting or not getting £150m.
We essentially doubled our money so PSR wise, it was a good bit of business 🤷🏼‍♂️.

He had 2 very good seasons out of 3 with us and up until maybe the last 10 games he was immense for us – for that I am grateful.

But he’s gone now & im excited by our new forward options – that’s what I choose to focus on. Seeing what Elanga, Woldemade and Wissa will bring.

Regardless, his behaviour has set a precedent and I believe that the EPL and the FA need to punish players who do this. There is no doubt his absence has cost us points. I don’t believe financial fines matter to these players as they are rolling in money. However a match ban is appropriate. Isak went on awol for 6 weeks, he should be banned from playing for Liverpool for 6 weeks. Its not the fact he left, its the disgracefull manner in which he conducted himself that was the problem. Liverpool and it’s fan will find out soon enough when Real Madrid or PSG come calling.

Fill stadium with fans. Bring all the backroom staff to pitch. Cleaners, chefs, groundsmen, kit boys, physio etc etc Award cash prizes to people and employees for some of their efforts.

Isak didn’t recognise that his goals are an outcome of everyone else at the club. He is the tip of an arrow but there is a lot of effort behind the scenes.

Taking 1m of his loyal bonus and giving it to people who were loyal to rhe club is a perfect tonic and motivation! A cure for the isak cancer.

What a joke fan base majority never been to Liverpool never mind the Stanley park area and a fair few smbs on here as well but have no balls to admit they are 😂😂😂😂 YAWA

  35. Just a thought…

Liverpool paid £130m for Isak. Gave him a 6 year contract at £300k per week. Assuming he stays, it will cost them north of £210m in total, on these two figures alone.

Liverpool are likely to play around 60 matches per season. If Isak manages an average of 50 games per season – optimistic, I know – it will have cos t them £870,000 per game for his services. This doesn’t take into account any sell-on value, but I would argue that his days as an appreciating asset are behind him.

Maybe they’re hoping to offset these ridiculous figures in increased shirt sales? I struggle to make sense of it.
